WHAT IS BLACK HILLS PARTY PEDALER?

Black Hills Party Pedaler is a group bicycle that you can rent.

On the day of your reservation, you arrive at your designated time, we suite you up with beverages of

choice, cover some basics and then you pedal the bike around on a tour, with party music,

LED lights, games, dancing, and stops at local pubs and bars. Every party/tour begins and

ends, at ABY's in Rapid City!

Tours are available in Rapid City, SD - every party begins and ends at ABY'S, Rapid City- 406 5th St.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RENT THE BLACK HILLS PARTY PEDALER?

Private 2-hour Tours are a flat rate of $245 Tuesday- Thursday, and $295 Friday & Saturday (excluding taxes)  the bike hosts up to 11 riders, 8-pedal seats, 3- bench seats. For a group of 11 riders, the cost is $22-$27 per person!

HOW AND WHEN DO I PAY?

All bookings must be paid in advance with a credit card over the phone or on our website. 

 

WHAT IF I WANT TO CANCEL/RESCHEDULE?

Tours run rain or shine! Should you need to cancel your tour, please call and let us know. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

30+ days = full refund

15-29 days = raincheck to be used by end of season 

14 or fewer days = 50% refund;

24 hours or less = no refund/raincheck.

 

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK A TOUR?

We prefer that tours be booked 48 hours prior to tour time. If that's not possible, contact us!

 

WHO DRIVES THE BLACK HILLS PARTY PEDALER?

We provide a sober staff “pilot” who steers and operates the brakes so your party can relax and have fun!

 

HOW MANY PEOPLE RIDE/PEDAL?

The Black Hills Party Pedaler can carry up to 11 people; 8- pedal seats and a non-pedaling bench that seats 3 individuals. 

 

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE REQUIRED TO RIDE THE BLACK HILLS PARTY PEDALER?

We require a minimum of 4 people to make it a comfortable ride.

 

WHERE DO WE START THE TOUR?

All tours begin and end at ABY'S- 406 5th St., Rapid City, SD 57701.

 

WHAT ARE THE STOPS ON THE TOUR?

Our standard route will land you on the doorsteps of some of Downtown Rapid's most iconic hot spots; Paddy O'Neill's Irish Pub & Grill in the legendary Alex Johnson Hotel, ABY'S, Armadillo's Ice Cream Shoppe, and more!

 

Or you can choose your own stops!

 

Alternatively, you can stay on the bike the whole time!

 

WHAT ARE THE AVAILABLE ROUTES FOR THE BLACK HILLS PARTY PEDALER?

Our main route tours the beautiful and eclectic downtown Rapid City district.  

 

CAN YOU DRINK ALCOHOL ON THE BLACK HILLS PARTY PEDALER?

Absolutely! Beer, wine, alcohol free beer, gluten-free options, sodas and water are available for purchase at the start of your tour.

WHO SHOULD RENT THE BLACK HILLS PARTY PEDALER?

Groups who like to pub crawl, bachelor/bachelorette parties, wedding parties, graduates, tailgaters, birthday groups, companies and business associates, youth groups, clubs, families and friends, exercise groups, tourists, who want to party like the locals or anyone just wanting to have a great time in the beautiful outdoors of the Black Hills!

 

The possibilities are endless!

 

WHO CAN RIDE?

We recommend riders be at least 48” tall. Any person/group under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by at least one adult and have a signed waiver by their legal guardian.

 

IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT?

There is a 275 pound weight limit per seat.

 

CAN I DECORATE THE BIKE?

Yes! As long as it doesn’t interfere with the bikes ability to function properly. Please let us know beforehand if you’d like to take advantage of this option.

 

CAN I REQUEST SONGS ON THE BIKE?

Yes! We utilize Spotify so pack your playlist!

 

HOW FAST DOES THE BLACK HILLS PARTY PEDALER GO?

On flat terrain, it goes about an average of 5-10 mph.

 

WHAT IF IT’S COLD OR RAINY THE DAY OF THE TOUR?

In the event of inclement weather, it is at our driver’s discretion to call you at least 1 hour before the outing to cancel. A rain check will be issued to the renting party. Please see our Cancellation Policy. 

 

WHAT IF OUR TOUR TAKES TOO LONG?

You will be charged a late fee if you do not return the Black Hills Party Pedaler to the starting point after 2 hours. Late Return Fees: up to 15 minutes late - $30; 16-30 minutes late - $65; 31-45 minutes late - $125; 46-60+ minutes late - $250.

 

DOES THE BLACK HILLS PARTY PEDALER RUN ALL YEAR LONG?

Yes & No- Our standard season runs from May 1 to September 31 but; welcome to South Dakota! Everything here is weather permitting. Snow in June, heat waves in January- we never know!

WHAT’S UP WITH THE LIABILITY WAIVER AND OFFERING BIKE HELMETS?

We offer bike helmets, but you don't have to wear them. We have you sign a liability waiver to accept responsibility in the event that something were to happen.
